How You Can Help
Watch our video below:
The Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund has been designated as one of America’s best charities because we are audited every year and keep our fundraising and administrative costs extremely low – less than 5%! That means that your donation is spent on programs to help adults and children, not on mailings, advertisements, or fancy events.
We can’t be bought by companies who want us to praise their medical products. We accept NO funding from drug companies or other sources that could influence our work and compromise our integrity. That’s why so many people turn to us when they need help. We work for you!
If you are a federal employee, you can join the thousands of women and men who have contributed to us through the Combined Federal Campaign, #11967!
Join us! You can become a member of our Fund with a donation of only $20! Or you can provide a gift membership in honor of a friend or family member who is a cancer survivor or in memory of someone who lost their fight against cancer. Just scroll down and click the “Make a donation” button below, and list your donation as a membership, with the names of anyone you’d like to honor. If you’d like to honor someone for the upcoming holidays, or for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, their birthday, or any other special occasion, just tell us, and we’ll send a card to let them know.
If you’re a student who would like to start a Cancer Prevention and Treatment Club at your high school or college, contact us firstname.lastname@example.org .
We hope you will add the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund to your list of favorite charities. Your tax-free donation will enable us to do more to help people across the country reduce their chances of getting cancer and get safer, more effective treatments when they have cancer. Contributions can be made by check or online. If you contribute to the Combined Federal Campaign, you can support our work by contributing to # 11967. If you contribute to United Way, please write in our organization’s name because the number will not work.
Levels of Giving
Donations of any size are welcome. Donors making a contribution of $25 or more will receive a complimentary copy of our new book, Survival Guide for Working Moms (and Other Stressed Out Adults), which covers everything from caring for an elderly parent to monitoring kids on the Internet. We will mail a copy of this valuable resource to you or someone you love when we receive your donation.
Your support makes a difference! Here are some examples of how you might want to designate your donations – but if you have other ideas, just let us know:
- $5,000 can be a “Legacy” gift to pay for a one-semester Fellowship named in honor of someone whose legacy you’d like us to continue. For example, you can honor a loved one who died from cancer with a Fellowship named after him or her that helps improve treatment for cancer patients.
- $2,500 can support our work with doctors across the country to improve the medical treatment of children and adults with cancer.
- $1,000 can support our efforts to keep dangerous chemicals and products off store shelves and away from our families.
- $100 – $250 will help us keep dangerous prescription drugs and medical devices off the market.
- $40 – $100 can support our Online Health Hotline, providing individual assistance to everyone with medical and prevention questions, for at least one day.
Making a donation through our secure server is fast and easy, and when we receive your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement in the mail for tax purposes. If you’d like the donation to honor someone, we can send an acknowledgement to that person as well! Click the button below to make a donation using your credit card, or send a check to the address below. Thank you for your support!
[Please note: We use a nonprofit service to process our credit card transactions. LOC IND CH ORG is the name that will appear on your credit card statement - not The Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund. Using that service keeps our costs low so we can use your donation to help adults and children across the country!]
Or, to make a donation by check, please make your check payable to the Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund and send to:

Your generous donation of $100 or more will enroll you in our Circle of Friends. Contributions of $250 or more will enroll you in our Leadership Circle. Donations of $1,000 or more will enroll you in the President’s Circle.
