The Cancer Prevention and Treatment Fund has been designated as one of America’s best charities because we are audited every year and keep our fundraising and administrative costs extremely low – less than 3%! That means that your donation is spent on programs to help adults and children, not on mailings, advertisements, or fancy events.

We can’t be bought by companies who want us to praise their medical products. We accept NO funding from drug companies or other sources that could influence our work and compromise our integrity. That’s why so many people turn to us when they need help.

Federal Employees:

We work for you! If you are a federal employee, you can join the thousands of women and men who have contributed to us through the Combined Federal Campaign, #11967!

You can make a donation in honor of a friend or family member who is a cancer survivor, or in memory of someone who lost their fight against cancer. Just click here and include the names of anyone you’d like to honor. If you’d like to honor someone for the holidays or any special occasion, just tell us and include their address if you’d like us to send a card to let them know.

Levels of Giving

Donations of any size are welcome. Your support makes a difference!  And we have 3 Donor Circles that you might want to consider:

Your generous donation of $125 or more will enroll you in our Circle of Friends.

Contributions of $250 or more will enroll you in our Leadership Circle.

Donations of $1,000 or more will enroll you in the President’s Circle.

And, here are some examples of how you might want to designate your donations – but if you have other ideas, just let us know:

  • $5,000 can be a “Legacy” gift to pay for a one-semester Fellowship named in honor of someone whose legacy you’d like us to continue. For example, you can honor a loved one who died from cancer with a Fellowship named after him or her that helps improve treatment for cancer patients.
  • $2,500 can improve the medical treatment of children and adults with cancer.
  • $1,000 can help us keep cancer-causing products out of our homes and communities.
  • $125 – $250 will help us fight for effective and affordable cancer treatments and keep dangerous cancer-causing drugs off the market.
  • $50 – $125 can support our Online Health Hotline, providing individual assistance to anyone with medical and prevention questions for at least one day.

Making a donation through our secure server is fast and easy, , and when we receive your donation, we will send you an acknowledgement in the mail for tax purposes. If you’d like the donation to honor someone, we can send an acknowledgement to that person as well!

Volunteers Welcome!

Volunteers serve on host committees for our annual Awards Luncheon or other events, or as unpaid interns (most are college students, graduate students, or professionals in transition).
